February 25, 2026 - Tested this unit - the output was low because the unit output is 500 ohms and my little speaker is 8 ohms. Also ordered a 3W 120V lamp for the oscillator circuit - no continuity on lamp in unit. I'll be testing the tubes next and already plan to replace the paper capacitor(s).
February 19, 2026 - Purchased this as a futire project - waiting fo it to arrive. These were HP's second audio generator and was guilt in the learly 1940's.
February 2, 2026 - Changed out the broken current switch - unfortunately I used a NO momentary and it calls for a NC momentary - the good news is it's not a bad replacement so I immediately ordered the correct switch and it has arrved (2/5) and I plan to change it out on 2/6 or 2/7.
January 3, 2025 - Received the 12v bulbs that I ordered from Amazon and one worked great for the dial light. They are titled "MEETOOT 10PCS Bayonet Mount Bulb P13.5S Bayonet Small Bulb 12V 0.25A 3W Suitable for Flashlight and Emergency Light". https://a.co/d/0zGJFUH
December 6, 2025 - All the tubes are here and I lit up the filaments with 8.2V at 3.5A.
November 28, 2025 - The VY-63 tubes should arrive today along with the PL-150 connector. Still need to order the VT-62's (801 tubes). Looking forward to powering the filaments up in the next few weeks.

November 16, 2025 - Yet another project - a BC-223-AX - doesn't have tubes and purchased a TU-26 tuning unit with crystal cover.
