July 26, 2026 - Worked on the power supply schematic.

February 2, 2026 - Changed out the broken current switch - unfortunately I used a NO momentary and it calls for a NC momentary - the good news is it's not a bad replacement so I immediately ordered the correct switch and it has arrved (2/5) and I plan to change it out on 2/6 or 2/7.

January 3, 2025 - Received the 12v bulbs that I ordered from Amazon and one worked great for the dial light.  They are titled "MEETOOT 10PCS Bayonet Mount Bulb P13.5S Bayonet Small Bulb 12V 0.25A 3W Suitable for Flashlight and Emergency Light".  https://a.co/d/0zGJFUH

December 6, 2025 - All the tubes are here and I lit up the filaments with 8.2V at 3.5A.

November 28, 2025 - The VY-63 tubes should arrive today along with the PL-150 connector.  Still need to order the VT-62's (801 tubes).  Looking forward to powering the filaments up in the next few weeks.

November 16, 2025 - Yet another project - a BC-223-AX - doesn't have tubes and purchased a TU-26 tuning unit with crystal cover.

Heathkit PS-3

 July 25, 2026 - This project arrived yesterday.  Plugged it in and was only seeing about 250v maximum.  There are also some extra components - I have ordered a manual and will replace all the caps and remove the extra components.

Heathkit IO-30 Oscilloscope

 July 16, 2026 - Picked this up recently and initially it powered on but only a single dot on the scope.  This evening I checked all the tubes to see it the heaters were working.  I removed a few and sprayed contact cleaner on them and reseated them.  I was able to get a solid line with nothing attached.  I hooked it up to my audio generator and was able to get a sine wave as expected.

GMRS Repeater

June 24, 2026 - Got the RX hooked up and tested repeating - programmed chosen frequency 462.700/467.700 with PL 141.3 on TX/RX.  Ordered a 8 cavity flat pacl mobile duplexer.

 June 20, 2026 - Got the TX hooked up - will do RX next, but need to decide on a frequency.  Using Motorola CDM-1250 radios.

RCA WV-98A Senior Voltohmyst

 June 20, 2026 - Picked this up a week or two back - the batter was corroded and it didn't have any probes - got a C cell battery holder and hooked that up - the Ohms setting the the DC voltage setting is working.  Need to mount the C battery holder and may need to go ahead and replace some capacitors, but at this moment it looks like it's working fine.

June 5, 2025 - adding on and moving some things around in the lab - I added the small workbench some time back and the newest workbench is being built (left) - will be moving the Collins R-392 to the lower portion of the new workbench.

April 7, 2023 - Testing the power meter and sensor with my 3400 SGLABS Transverter.

April 3, 2023 - Returned the 80425C sensor because it was faulty and purchased a 80330A sensor 0.01-18GHz/2W which arrived today and works great.

March 22, 2023 - New lab gear purchased. Gigatronics 8041C power meter, 20954-001 cable and  80425C 0.01-18GHz/50W sensor.

December 16, 2021 - More work on the lab getting new equipment in place.

December 15, 2021 - The HP8350 Sweep Oscillator frame with 83592A .01-20.0GHz plugin arrived (top) - testing it with my new EIP548A counter and adjusting as the Sweep Oscillator warms up.

December 9, 2021 - Arrived yesterday - EIP548A 10Hz to 26.5GHz counter with Option 8 - works great - my current signal source only goes to 20GHz and it read it fine.

Just purchased December 4, 2021 - HP8350 Sweep Oscillator frame with 83592A .01-20.0GHz plugin.  And coming soon a listing of all lab assets.

Heathkit IP-32 HV Power Supply

May 6, 2026 - Picked this up as "For parts or not working" on eBay - changed the fuse and then adjusted HV and works fine.  At some point I will replace all the capacitors, but for now it's working.
